Dragon city breeding update10/31/2023 NEW: Apparently moving the bar further right does in fact increase the likelihood of a successful breed. So use something like pure flame (epic) dragon and empower it to give stars to use as a parent, or even better, ignition which is legendary. Well, even with five stars, the single element flame (common) and light (rare) will not suffice to unlock level 2. For example, for level 2, say the required elements are light and flame. NOTE: You may be required to use parents that have more than one element, just because you need higher rarity. Parents will have to be higher rarity, or empowered, or BOTH to unlock the second Egg, which is Level 2. Level 2 - These are the hard to breed Legendary dragons. You will be required to use higher level rarities and some empowered parents in order to move the bar past the first Egg, which is Level 1. Level 1 - These are most non single element Epics, and some Legendaries. The bar in the breeding screen doesn't even have to move. Level 0 - These are all of the Commons/Rares/Very Rares/Single element Epics, and you do not need any special amount of rarity, nor empowerment to unlock these. For the purposes of this guide, I break everything down into one of three levels based on the bar in the breeding screen with the eggs. Rarity and Empowerment have a great deal of bearing on unlocking levels. The requirements for levels are shown on the Right two columns in the picture above. Double Terra, Double Flame, Double Metal etc., will still produce the same results as a single element with the same success rates, and since these dragons have a much higher rarity (VR for most), they can be effectively used to unlock higher levels of dragons. So while single element dragons work best as parents, this does not preclude the doubles since both of the same elements occur on the same dragon. One element, and one element alone, at random, is utilized from each parent to determine outcomes.I saw someone (I can't remember who) mention that the new system works a LOT like the breeding event island, and that's a good way to think of it. The arcane or ancient elements (Beauty, Magic, Chaos, Happy, Dream, Soul) cannot possibly be isolated at this time, therefore breeding with them inherently lowers your chances of breeding what you desire. More possibilities means less chances to breed the dragon you are aiming for. When you use multiple element dragons, you introduce more elements and more possibilities. However, you may find with the level 2's that you need to use some double elements to unlock. But if you want to breed a certain dragon, then Single element dragons are best. You can doubt this if you want, and even go test it out to prove it to yourself. SINGLE ELEMENT DRAGONS are the best possible Parents.Which brings me to the most important fact: The dragon titles no longer matter, ONLY ELEMENTS matter. Breeding a certain dragon with another certain dragon (i.e.Once your dragon is level 4 or higher, they all act the same, so there is no need to feed a dragon up to a certain level anymore. I do have a spreadsheet that has all of them, but I can't post the spreadsheet, so if you are really stuck and can't figure one out, just send me a DM and I'll get back to you. This guide also ignores epics, VR's, rares and commons since you don't really need my advice on how to breed them for the most part, and because you are going to get most, if not all of them, in the process of breeding the legendaries in the form of mis-breeds. The new system probably does effect how they are bred, however if you are hell bent on breeding them like they used to, then just go to the app store and download and play on a version of DC older than 10.8. They have been covered other places already. This guide does not attempt to address Sanctuary Dragons. It's amazing how many people saw and used only one or the other. In an effort to make sure people see both Tables, I have put them in as a single pic.you will eventually receive some Element Tokens which are used to upgrade your habitats past level 2. When playing some dragon city events, or even opening your daily calendar. Some elements have an opposite element which means single element dragons of these types cannot be bred directly.īut you can use multi-element dragons to attempt breeding combinations of these elements. The other elements a dragon has indicates the types of moves it can learn!Ī good example would be Fire an Ice do not breed together. The first element of a dragon indicates which moves it will be weak to Primary elements are the first element a dragon has listed A dragon with 4 elements is ideal as it can learn 4 different element type moves. Each element represents a move type that that dragon can learn. Yes, Dragons can have up to 4 elements, but only the primary element - appearing first in the list - indicates the dragons weaknesses.
